A house for the Daughter

Location: Kiketi, Georgia

Year: 2019

The site is located in a forest near Tbilisi, Georgia.
The existing building consists of four different family houses connected to each other, which creates a communal living experience. Each house has its own unique architecture built in different times.
Our client owns one part of that building, which is his family summer house. He decided to gift this house to his son, and to build additional one for his daughter.

The concept of our design derives from the idea of communal living. We decided to link the house of brother and sister by designing a fireplace in a shared wall. So when the brother starts a fire in his fireplace, the sister’s house gets warm as well.
